How much fun would it be to travel the world touring wineries, tasting wine, learning about their history and operations and even talking food and wine parings? If you are a wine drinker, sampling wines from a variety of vineyards is part of the enjoyment you get from each glass. What could be more fun than attending an event with the top 50 chefs in Chicago, access to more than 150 premium international wines and located in the most beautiful interior design showrooms around with the goal of raising money for three important Chicago charities? Not much, if you ask me!

Mariano’s Italian Celebration: Eggplant Parmigiana

In celebration of La Tavola Italiana, Mariano’s grocery stores offered classes celebrating Italian culture. Chef Tony Priolo from Piccolo Sogno (http://piccolosognorestaurant.com/) shared his recipe for Eggplant Parmigiana and homemade cannoli. No meal is complete without a delicious wine to compliment each dish. And Terlato Wines presented the perfect accompaniment to each course.
