If you are a wine lover, French wine in particular, then Sofitel’s Wine Days are for you. I attended the opening of their Faire la Fête wine tasting celebration which was hosted on La Terrace. From whites to rose to deep reds, these wines were delicious and oh so fragrant. 
Sofitel Chicago Wine Days will continue through October 31 with seasonal fall wine dinners, which are part of the larger wine dinner series, and weekly complimentary wine tastings. Sofitel Chicago welcomes guests to join the wine-themed events or enjoy specialty French wines at the hotel’s restaurants, CDA, La Terrace and Le Bar.
The annual Sofitel Wine Days celebration pays tribute to wine and French culinary heritage, and the festivities line up with the timing of the traditional wine harvest period in France and offer guests an authentic opportunity to “Live The French Way.”

Seasonal Fall Wine Dinner
Sofitel Chicago invites all wine enthusiasts to its seasonal wine dinner to experience the art of French gastronomy through Executive Chef, Cliff Crawford’s newly re-imagined lens. The wine dinner allows foodies to explore what makes French food and wine so extraordinary and decadent as they are guided through a curated wine tasting during an intimate four-course meal.
The Fall Harvest Wine Dinner on October 7, 2022 from 6-8 PM will feature all the fall flavors you can imagine, with dishes such as goat cheese gnudi with heirloom squash, paired with refreshing, French fall harvest wines – you can find the full Fall Harvest menu and purchase tickets for the event here.
Weekly Complimentary Wine Tastings
Guests who stay at Sofitel Chicago in September and October will have the chance to enjoy complimentary wine tastings in the elegant hotel lobby every Thursday from 5 pm – 6 pm. Enjoy favorite French wines and custom cheese plates to begin a charming evening in Chicago.
