There is a new hotel in town. And it is different from the rest. This property is a partnership between Marriott and the Marcus Corporation. It’s called the AC Hotel. The brand is not new to the marketplace. It is actually a brand out of Spain with a strong presence in Europe with approximately 75 hotels. In the United States, this is location number 4 with many more to come in the next couple of years.
The AC Hotel is designed to be a modern, approachable lifestyle brand with an appeal to the creativity and passions of travelers with a millennial mindset. This new property is located just one block off the most well known street in Chicago: Michigan Avenue otherwise known as The Magnificent Mile. The ease of this location makes it a prime spot for anyone coming to visit the city whether you are here for business or pleasure or a little of both. Fabulous shopping and restaurants surround the property.

The AC Hotel offers a European inspired space that is modern in decor but at a very reasonable rate. Their services include a European style breakfast as well as small plates and cocktails in the AC Lounge. Interested in seeing the Chicago scene like a local? All you need to do is talk to the bartender to be connected to the city’s unique hot spots.

I was invited to the AC Hotel launch party where I was introduced to the team who built the property. This may be a brand out of Spain, but you will “feel” the Chicago vibe in the graciousness of the people who attend to your every need.
