In celebration of Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant’s 20th anniversary, they have launched Behind the Label. This blind-tasting challenge is designed to transform the traditional wine experience into a gamified event. Join the fun by visiting any of the 68 locations across the country throughout the month of April.
Cooper’s Hawk was founded in Orland Park, Illinois, in 2005 by Tim McEnery. What sets this restaurant apart is their modern causal style with winery experience. Napa-style tasting rooms along with experiential dining plus a specialty market make for an engaging, delicious and entertaining restaurant ambience.
When you hear about Cooper’s Hawk, what might first stand out is the community they have created within their brand. They have the world’s largest wine club that is built around exclusive culinary and wine events, international travel experiences and guest loyalty programs.
The blind wine tasting takes place in the tasting room where you will have the opportunity to try 8 wines. Four are poured blind. It’s a twist on traditional tastings that invite guests to sharpen their skills and explore new wines. Discovery, education and a little friendly competition will enhance your knowledge through this wine tasting experience. You will also learn techniques to determine wine characteristics like aroma, body and flavor notes. There are no reservations required to participate. The cost to do the Behind the Label tasting is just $12 and open to guests 21 and over.
Once the tasting concludes, guests can scan a QR code on the back of the tasting sheet to a video where Master Sommelier, Emily Wines, reveals the blind wines. Exciting prizes include a trip aboard Virgin Voyages to the Caribbean, Dinner for Two for a year at Cooper’s Hawk, four tickets to a Friends of Cooper’s Hawk event and Cooper’s Hawk Gift Cards. Winners of the gift cards and grand prizes will be notified by May 5th. Guests do not need to guess the blind wines correctly to enter to win.
