You’re coming to Chicago, but you don’t know which hotel to choose. I can help! I just stayed at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel and left feeling rested, relaxed and reminded of how truly beautiful this city is. This was the view from my hotel room. Gorgeous!
Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel Location
Located in the heart of the city, with incredible views, steps from Michigan Avenue, Millennium Park, the theater and business district, shopping, restaurants, the Chicago River for boat rides and to wander the Riverwalk, this modern hotel offers the perfect place to call home while you are visiting Chicago.
You will find comfortable and very spacious hotel rooms, attentive customer service, an indoor pool, fitness center and Club Lounge.
Dining at the Renaissance Chicago
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Staytion Market & Bar. Freshly made dishes with unique twists on classic recipes. Their menu reflects Chicago’s diverse population. See what we ordered here.
On the third floor of the hotel is Raised | An Urban Rooftop Bar where dishes are made with locally sourced ingredients, creative cocktails and a rotating selection of beer from Chicago neighborhood breweries.
The menu offers shareable plates that you can enjoy as you take in the stunning views of the surrounding architecture and Chicago River.
While walking is a good way to explore the city, the hotel is located next to the Chicago CTA train lines making it convenient to get to a Cubs game or check out the 77 neighborhoods that make up Chicago.
An open and airy lobby welcomes guests to sit back and relax in the many seating areas.
Don’t miss the stadium seating by the Staytion restaurant.
All around the hotel, you will find art that showcases images of Chicago from the Checker Cab to Joffrey Ballet to the Chicago subway train known as the “L”. See more photos here.
The Club Lounge is located on the first floor of the hotel offering beverages, snacks and breakfast options. This space is available throughout the day to relax with a beverage as you get some work done. See their operating hours for more details.
If you are familiar with Chicago’s Loop, you may know that there is an underground tunnel that takes you from buildings to retailers like Macy’s without battling the weather. There is an entrance from the Renaissance Chicago Hotel’s lobby directly to the pedway making it convenient to do some shopping or get a bite to eat.
Tip before booking your reservation. Check out the specials running during your time of arrival. We chose the Romance Package which includes champagne for two, evening turndown chocolates, and breakfast for two.
