Tickled Pink. Cute expression, right? What if I told you that Tickled Pink Chicago has raised over $1.8 million since 2005 for breast cancer research and awareness? This fabulous event was started by the talented Jodi Fyfe, in memory of her beloved cousin, Carrie Kenney, who at a young age, lost her battle with breast cancer. Looking for ways to honor her vibrant cousin, she launched Tickled Pink Chicago creating an annual fundraiser to honor Carrie’s philosophy to celebrate life. In 2013, Tickled Pink Chicago partnered with Bright Pink, the only national non-profit organization focusing on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer.

Each year, this lively fundraiser brings hundreds of people together in Chicago’s most unique spaces whether warehouses, art galleries or nightclubs to raise money through the generous donations from local restaurants, cultural events and activities. The 2016 Tickled Pink Gala exceeded its own record having over 1,500 attendees at Friday night’s event! Phenomenal!
The energy you feel the moment you walk into the space is electric. Over 50 of Chicago’s top restaurants are serving their specialties, custom cocktails are created along with an open bar, and The Chicago Players Band will have you on your feet dancing all night long.

In addition, you will find many different ways in which you can contribute to the efforts of Tickled Pink Chicago with the support of jewelry designer, Kendra Scott, raffles, and even buying beaded necklaces from the handsome firefighters. Coming to the event, you will of course see lots of pink in the décor, clothing and even food.

But you also will find people of all ages and reasons to be there. Some are there for the party, no doubt. But so many are there because they have had cancer touch their lives in some way. I know for me, this cause is personal, impacting my life when my very special life-long friend was diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age. Early detection made a critical difference in her life. (And in the lives of those of us who love her). I watched her battle every step of the way to where she is now: living a happy and HEALTHY life with her husband and children. I, like so many others, are very grateful for all that is being done to support women at this time in their lives.
Please visit Tickled Pink and Bright Pink for more information on their efforts and initiatives. And put the 2017 Tickled Pink Gala on your calendars. You are not going to want to miss this celebration of life.
To your health! Thanks, Tickled Pink!
Amazing stuff!! The whole event looks like a lot of fun and it’s for a great cause. My best friend is battling breast cancer so I take this very personally. Contributions go a long way.

This has got to be one of the most fun events I’ve seen that’s all about raising awareness for Breast Cancer. It’s really awesome to be able to attend such an event. Thanks for sharing your experience, the food looks great!
Looks like you all had a wonderful time! Glad to see so many people supporting fund-raising events like this. Oh, and the food looks amazing!
I like what they did, pink is standing for breast cancer awareness and I’m so glad of that. I’m sure you guys had fun and enjoyed the event. I love how they organized this event especially those foods.
Much respect to the founder! I know that these acts are influenced mostly by real life consequences and experiences but this shouldn’t stop the fortunate from participating in events like this.
