Do you just have those days where you want to eat or drink something sweet and decadent forgetting all your hard work to eat healthy? I know I do! As soon as fall starts, all you hear about are drinks with pumpkin in it. You know the ones, Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Pumpkin Spice Frappuccinos, Pumpkin Spice ice cream, donuts and so many other choices. No matter how tasty they are, the calories you get with every sip are not necessarily the ones you want. Which is why when I found Lifeway Kefir’s Pumpkin Spice low fat cultured milk, I knew I had to create a healthier version of one of my favorite drinks. The Healthier Pumpkin Spice Frappe

 

So, what exactly is Kefir? Lifeway refers to it as “the champagne of dairy” while others call it “the cousin of yogurt”. A healthy and seasonal Pumpkin Spice Frappe made with Lifeway Kefir.

  1. 1 cup Limited Edition Lifeway Kefir Pumpkin Spice
  2. 1 tablespoon pure pumpkin puree
  3. 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  4. 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  5. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  6. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  7. 8 ice cubes
Topping
  1. Whipped cream
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients up to whipped cream into high speed blender.
  2. Blend until frothy.
  3. Pour into glass.
  4. Garnish with whipped cream.
  5. Enjoy!
