In Chicago, March is the time of year where retailers, brands, manufacturers, media, chefs, and restauranteurs travel to McCormick Place to attend the International Home and Housewares Show. It is a show that people like me love! Three buildings filled with the latest kitchen, dining, laundry, garage, bathroom and closet finds. Miles and miles of cooking equipment, tools and gadgets; dinnerware, flatware, glassware, barware; gadgets, tools, cutlery, cutting boards; electrics from rice cookers to espresso machines to air fryers to water purifiers and beyond; food storage containers, bakeware, pepper mills, linens and the list continues. So much to see, to admire, to want.

Here are just a handful of my favorites to share with you. Most are in stores now for you to see and investigate on your own.

To give you an idea of what the show looks like and how very big it is, this is just one small portion of one hall:

  • Wow, The International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago looks amazing! What a great way to get introduced to brands! I love those wooden grain mills! And the spatulas are so cute! I think the show would be a bit overwhelming…in a good way!

  • My goodness. I would of thought I died and went to heaven. I love seeing new products. There is something about touching them and getting to know what is coming out that makes your whole year. I freely admit I am addicted to kitchen tools. Your a very lucky person to have gone and I made a list of “needs” haha. Take me with you next time? lol

Thank you, Laura! I love the opportunities to learn about new items and better ways to use existing ones. Wish I could take you with me! lol

  • Dee says:

Okay! I have never heard of a Kitchen show, but now that I know, I am going to have to find one near me and save some money so I can update my kitchen. Hopefully, hubby will be happy about going with me. I really want the chill factor cup

  • This is my kind of show. I would need a truck to take home all my new kitchen toys!! I love seeing what is out there to use in the home. Looks so fun!

  • So basically you visited Foodie heaven?? I’m incredibly jealous! I’ve added an air fryer to my “Must Have” birthday wish list 🙂 I didn’t even know they existed until now! There is so much color and fun with those patterns! And I am in love with those knife blocks! So much better than the traditional wooden block!

  • The Housewares Show sounds like an absolute dream! Those prints on the dishes are absolutely beautiful! Not to mention all of the fun gadgets — oh and that cooler! I would spend hours upon hours there!

  • I live in Chicago and I have never heard of this. I must be living under a rock. lol. I really want to go next year. I really love those spatulas and a lot of the appliances. I would have loved to visit the Pioneer Woman booth.

Whoa this is too big and it’s great for those who are really interested in housewares. One day may not be enough to go through every booth. There are so many things that can pique my curiosity.

  • Wow I would have a blast in this show. Houseware is my thing and its always interesting to see different craft made from different country. Each product has their own unique style and appeal based on each everyones need. I wish i can attend similar to this someday.

  • I could not attend this…I would buy every single thing that I saw! These gadgets and kitchen appliances are awesome!! I love how sleek and simple the designs are.
